Due to proposed construction of homes at the end of West Ledge Road and thus anticipated heavy construction truck use, the reclaiming and repaving of West Ledge Road has been postponed until 2018. Short term repairs will be made in the interim. We are sorry for the inconvenience but the end result will be a far better product.
Did you know that dogs must be registered with the Town Clerk by April 1st of each year? Under NH RSA 466:1 Procuring License; Tag. – Every owner or keeper of a dog 4 months old or over shall annually, cause it to be registered, numbered, described, and licensed for one year in the office of the clerk of the town in which the dog is kept, and shall cause it to wear around its neck a collar to which shall be attached a metal tag with the following information thereon: the name of the city or town, year of issue of license and its registered number. The tag and license shall be furnished by the clerk at the expense of the town. Regardless of when the license is obtained, the license shall be effective from May 1 of each year to April 30 of the subsequent year. You must show a current rabies certificate and the fees are $6.50 for spayed/neutered dogs, $9.00 for unspayed/unneutered, and $2.00 if the owner is over 65 yrs. old. THE SAND PILE FOR RESIDENTS’ USE IS LOCATED AT TOWN HALL IN THE FRONT OF THE BUILDING NEAR THE SALT SHED INDICATED BY A SIGN WITH ORANGE FLAGS:
NO SALT IS TO BE TAKEN. SALT IS ALREADY MIXED IN WITH THE SAND. NO ONE SHOULD BE IN THE SALT SHED.
SAND MAY NOT BE TAKEN FROM THE MAIN PILE. FOR SAFETY REASONS, NO ONE SHOULD BE AT THE MAIN PILE AND TO ALLOW ACCESS BY THE HWY DEPT.
SAND MAY BE TAKEN BY A BARTLETT PROPERTY OWNER OR RESIDENT TO BE USED ON THEIR BARTLETT PROPERTY ONLY. THIS APPLIES TO RESIDENTIAL & COMMERCIAL PROPERTY.
A COMMERCIAL OPERATOR, INDIVIDUAL, CONTRACTOR WHO MAINTAINS PROPERTIES FOR A FEE MAY NOT TAKE ANY SAND. NOTE: SAYING THEY DON’T CHARGE FOR SAND DOES NOT QUALIFY.
SAND MAY ONLY BE TAKEN IN THE WINTER MONTHS FOR USE IN SANDING DRIVEWAYS.
